We are looking for an Assistant Chief Flight Instructor for each of our Part 141 TCO’s (Private, Instrument, and Commercial). We are a busy flight school responsible for training a large amount of students. Assistant Chief Flight Instructors are responsible for promoting safety, mentoring students and instructors, conducting intermediate and end of course checks, helping ensure TCO compliance, helping to develop training techniques, and assisting with other duties delegated by the Chief Flight Instructor. Assistant Chief Flight Instructors must be safety conscious, detail orientated, and customer focused.

FAA requirements for an Assistant Chief Flight Instructor are as follows:

  • Commercial pilot Certificate
  • Flight Instructor Certificate
  • Meet PIC recent flight experience requirements of 61.57

Private Pilot TCO

  • 500 hours PIC
  • 1 year as a flight Inst. and 250 hours dual given, or
  • 500 hours dual given

Instrument TCO

  • 500 hours PIC
  • 50 hours of actual or simulated instrument time
  • 1 year and 125 hours of dual given towards an instrument rating, or
  • 200 hours of dual given towards an instrument rating

Commercial TCO

  • 1,000 hours PIC
  • 1.5 years and 500 hours of dual given, or
  • 750 hours of dual given

Additional preferred NSA requirements:

  • 2nd class medical
  • 2 years flight instructor experience
  • CFI, CFI-I, and MEI
